According to a new study, statistics show that the interest in online gaming has grown considerably in recent years, and casino sites are now among the most visited on the internet.

Online cash games get over 13 million hits in one month

According to this study, online gambling sites have seen 13.5 million visitors throughout the month of July alone. The “World Series of Poker” accounts for 11% of this total which reached a peak frequency and led a large number of spectators to test their poker talents.

PokerStars

PokerStars is the most visited site in the online poker industry, with 2.4 million visitors a month. Full Tilt Poker and King Lotto Network come a close second and third with respectively 2.3 million and 2 million visitors. Far behind we find Ultimate Bet with a healthy 1 million visitors per month.

Google remains the favourite

Other highly visited sites generally relate to product sales and travel information, however Google tops the list of most visited websites. Twitter comes in at the 50th place among the list of most visited sites in July while Yahoo remains behind Google at the top of the list. As an industry however, online casino is one of the most popular to be visited these days.
